Planning permission to convert a "derelict" Winterton pub into a single dwelling is being sought from North Lincolnshire Council.

The Lion's Head, 55 Park Street, is the subject of the application by Gary Durnian, of Winterton.

The pub - within the Winterton Conservation Area - has been empty for some time and offered for sale or rent.

A submission made to planners suggests the development scheme will help regenerate part of the town presently occupied by a derelict pub.

The intention is to create a four-bedroom family-type home.

A new toilet block is planned in Central Park, Scunthorpe.

Subject to planning permission, North Lincolnshire Council intends to site the building near the Nutshell Café.

A car wash in Scunthorpe has been given planning approval.

The authority granted permission to retain change of use of land to a hand car wash, including retaining a caravan and erecting a canopy at the site off Station Road.

The council imposed a condition that the caravan shall only be used by staff while the car wash is open and must not be used as residential or overnight accommodation.

The application was made by Raza Rahman, of Scunthorpe.

Plans to create a café to serve the Flixborough industrial estate have been amended and resubmitted to the council.

The proposal involves changing the use of The Gatehouse, Bellwin Drive, and has been submitted by Richard, Burgin, of Intake Transport.

The premises were last used as a weighbridge and security office.

Planners have refused to grant permission for an existing development on the outskirts of Scunthorpe.

They rejected an application to retain change of use of a former training facility to residential accommodation for security officers and the retention of palisade fencing at Woodside Cast Stone Ltd, Dawes Lane, High Santon.

Planners also refused to grant permission to erect a detached domestic garage at  96 Priory Lane, Scunthorpe, and turned down an application to erect a two-storey and single storey extension, with balcony, at 21 Vicarage Gardens, Scunthorpe

The council also declined to give tree preservation order consent for 25 per cent crown thinning of a sycamore tree at  63 Moorwell Road, Yaddlethorpe.
