“No person is safe today as thugs get away with everthing, I hope they catch the scum who did it but doubt they will get punnished properly, hope the driver is not to badly effected, at least it seems he removed the van keys as many used to leave keys in and scum just jumped in and drove off. We used to have pizza delivery vans and several times orders were fake and when driver got out to deliver he was robbed of his cash, no one ever caught for it.
This was a hire van but I would expect courier vans have a tracking device to trace the vans movements, I know many trucks use this system now.”

“Bunch of thugs - do you have proof, or is it hearsay evidence again?
What is the Company going to get out of this - nothing, it's the individual/s who robbed the van who will gain.
Parcels are all tracked - not anymore they're not, unless the device to track them is so sophisticated it can locate them to the robbers hidey hole!
Just my opinon (sic) of course.”

“Actually it's Miss Montgomery, didn't you realise my name is Antonia, feminine, not Anthony, masculine, or did the red mist descend before it registered?
This is a public forum, so anyone who wants to comment on an article is allowed to do so, and that includes, surprise, surprise you and me.
You both seem to be back tracking and contradicting yourselves with your posts too!
When you start hurling nasty names and making personal comments, I'm afraid you lose any argument.
Don't bother replying to this post unless you have something constructive and sensible to say, I hope young Mr Maguire is OK.
    Have a good day!”

“Actually, my grandad got his vehicle nicked in a similar way.

There was about 8 of em if I recall correctly, him and his mate had parked up to brew a cuppa when these blokes jumped em, roughed em up, nicked the vehicle and shot off.

Somewhere near Alamein I think it was, way back in '42 - they never did get the half-track back”

“Thanks Angie, she is, and to keep her that way, I taught her how to react to an assault which seems all too prevalent today.
You might want to direct your ire at ST's limited reporting.”
