The Peacocks put on a good display at Heslam Park as leaders Scunthorpe Town 2nds defeated fellow promotion chasers Keelby by six wickets.

David Peacock took three for 11 as Keelby were bowled out for 112 after 37.2 overs.

Daniel Peacock then top scored with 32 as Town won in 19 overs.

It was a disappointing day for Keelby, for whom no-one managed 20, although Jamie Skudder and Andy Smith each took two wickets to secure a single bowling bonus point and ensure the villagers did not return home empty-handed.

For Scunthorpe, Jamie Brumby spearheaded their attack with four for 29 in 11 overs, and keeper David Brown held four catches.

Batsmen from Hartsholme 2nds enjoyed their own track at Ashby Avenue, Lincoln, three of them making half-centuries in a big 242 for five, which set up a 59-run victory over Owmby.

Visiting bowlers toiled in the heat, no-one managing better than a single wicket, but they at least secured four batting bonus points with 183 for five (Sam Atkin 43, Kev Bowring 37 not out).
