Pearson: Victory puts right Tigers' KC Stadium defeat to the Iron
NIGEL Pearson hailed the clinical finishing of his front two as the Tigers ripped through a fragile Iron rearguard.
The arrival of Matty Fryatt and Aaron Mclean at the beginning of the January transfer window has proved a catalyst for a climb up the table.

'DELIGHTED': Tigers boss Nigel Pearson is all smiles.
Mclean's double provided his first City goals, but free-scoring Fryatt has now notched six times in seven games since leaving Leicester for £1.2million.
"For them to share the goals today is great," said Pearson.
"Aaron has been unlucky so far. But he's very much appreciated in the dressing room and the fans can see how much hard work he puts in.
"He's deserved a bit of luck in front of goal and it was important for him that he got off the mark. His application and work rate have been rewarded.
"Matty has again looked dangerous too. You can see we're more potent, with the ability to score goals."
City boss Pearson claimed his side's big victory at Glanford Park had gone someway to erasing the scars of the Iron's 1-0 victory at the KC Stadium back in November.
But while pleased with the progress the Tigers have made since that loss, he is wary of getting too carried away by talking about the top six.
"I'm absolutely delighted for the players and fans," he added.
"It's good to put right that performance in November which was a poor performance and result.
"Today shows we have come a long way since then.
"The best team won and the scoreline doesn't really flatter us.
"It was important we got back to winning ways.
"Our performances of late have been pretty good, but we've not always got the points we deserve.
"Today we've been able to capitalise on that and score goals.
"Hopefully people can see we are making progress, though whether we can sustain it remains to be seen."
