A BELTON driver was caught speeding by police at 38mph on a 30mph road, a court heard.

Walter Senior, 69, of High Street, Belton, was stopped by police on July 17, 2012, while driving his Mercedes car in the area of Westgate and Sandtoft Road, Belton.

He pleaded guilty at North Lincolnshire Magistrates' Court.

Speaking in his defence, Senior said: "At about this time, I had been diagnosed on a routine medical with a serious heart problem."
