A PLANNING application for the development of three offshore wind farms in the Hornsea Round 3 Zone has been submitted.

Each of the offshore wind farms proposed by Heron Wind Limited and Njord Limited will exceed 100MW.

The turbines would have a combined generating capacity of up to 1.2 gigawatts and would be located in the area of the Hornsea Round 3 Zone known as Subzone 1. This is in the centre of the Hornsea Zone and its western boundary lies 103km from the East Yorkshire coast.

Documents, plans and maps showing the nature, location and route of project one are available for viewing until March 13 at a number of locations including Withernsea Library, Hedon Library and East Riding Mobile Library.
