Humberside Police say an increased number of calls during periods of snow is not unusual, but puts pressure on the service.

The non-emergency 101 number was set up to take pressure off the 999 service, but police say the increased number of calls affects the call-out time.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "We do get extra calls in connection with anti-social behavior when there is snow, but this is for a number of reasons, so it does have an effect on the time it takes police to answer 101 calls.

There has been no reports of road traffic collisions to the police today.
