TWO masked robbers, who stole a large amount of cash from a Lincolnshire Post Office earlier today, are believed to have headed to North Lincolnshire.

The robbery, at the Outreach Post Office at Blyton, took place at about 10.45am.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: "Two men wearing balaclavas entered the premises.

"They made threats using some form of incapacitant spray. They stole a large amount of cash."

Detectives believe the offenders made off in a grey Ford Mondeo, which had been stolen in Gainsborough earlier in the morning.

They were heading in the Scotter direction.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw any erratic driving or suspicious vehicles to contact them.

They are also seeking information about a red van which was being driven in Scotton, which they believe could also be involved in the robbery.

Anyone with any information should contact Lincolnshire Police on 01522 532222, quoting incident 98 of January 11.
