Motorists of warned of pot holes in Normanby Road
North Lincolnshire Council has received more than 40 reports of potholes on the region's roads since Friday.
The freezing and thawing of ice caused by severe weather conditions over Christmas have caused the widening of existing cracks on road surfaces.
It is not yet known when the works will be completed.
A council spokeswoman said: "As the snow disappears it is likely that potholes will start to appear.
"The council would be grateful if residents could work with us by reporting any problems they notice.
"They can do this either by contacting our call centre on 01724 297000 or by using the online report system on the council's website."

“Remember West Common Gardens? Tried a new surface but it didn't last five minutes so they did a proper job and it's lovely. Can't help but wonder how much it cost for both surfaces though! Never mind, a lesson has been learnt. Seen how much they are spending on the Baths, no scrimping on the council flagship project!”

“if more were spent on decent materials for roads rather than skimping, then hoping to get a big bonus at xmas we wouldnt have this situation. The chipping dont last 5 minutes , waste of time, the tarmac is too thin so cracks, they had to take up the whole stretch of road here at winterton as it was too thin, this is only a week after they put it down, cowboys !!!!”

“A system of planned prevenative maintenance would prevent the majority of these issues arising and would potentially save money..”

“At last!
But don't blame the weather, blame lack of routine maintenance. The ex-dual-carriageway section of Normanby Road had been in a poor state for a while. Wells Street is even worse. If NLC spent more on tarmac and less on white lines and stuipid bumps and islands we'd all be better off!”
