UPDATED: 1,500+ properties in Scunthorpe suffer two-hour power cut
POWER was restored to hundreds of homes in Scunthorpe in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday Feb 19) after a power cut left residents in the dark for almost two hours.
Lights came on again about 12.25am.

Parts of Scunthorpe were hit by a power cut late last night
Residents and businesses had been plunged into darkness after a power cut that started around 10.45pm.
Oswald Road, Doncaster Road, Mary Street, Church Lane, Dunstall Street, Gervase Street, Norwood Avenue and Henry Street were among the areas reportedly affected.

Lights had also been flickering in other parts of Crosby. area.
It is not yet known what caused the power cut.
An underground cable fault caused hundreds of homes to be without power last night.
This morning a spokesman for Northern Power Grid, said: "It affected 1,543 properties in the DN15/7 postcode area. The loss of power was caused by an underground cable fault.”
