Power from food by-products scheme at Bonby - between Brigg and Barton - will be digested by council
Plans have been announced for a composting facility in the village of Bonby - between Brigg and Barton - to generate electricity.
It is proposed for what is described as the composting site on Bonby Lane.

Permission is being sought from North Lincolnshire Council to build an anaerobic digestion facility to handle by-products from the food growing and production industries.
This is aimed at generating 3mw to 4mw of electrical power.

Tamar Energy Ltd, of London, has lodged the application.
The council will welcome comments from interested members of the public up to January 28.
A decision is not expected to be made on the scheme until April at the earliest.
Further information is expected to be to hand in the next few days.
Bonby is one of the so-called Low Villages in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
