PUBLIC SECTOR: East Riding Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) is seeking to reappoint a business sector representative to its board.

Established in 2001, the LSP's key function is to develop and deliver a plan for the ongoing sustainable development of the area, with the role of the business sector representative to provide a private sector perspective on the partnership's work.

Councillor Stephen Parnaby, leader of East Riding Council and chairman of the LSP, said: "The business sector has always played an important role in the work of East Riding LSP and the business sector representative provides a direct link to the sector, as well as a different approach to the partnership, which is attended by key public sector organisations.

"Given the changing environment for the public sector, having a business representative to comment constructively on the development of public services is really important."
