Public asked: How do you want to travel around Lincolnshire?
With good transport links essential in a rural county, Lincolnshire County Council is keen to hear people's views about what they think the authority's top priorities should be.
Consultation is now underway for the council's fourth Local Transport Plan, which will set out transport policies and strategies for the next decade - and beyond.

Lincolnshire County Council is keen to hear people’s views about what they think the authority's top priorities should be on transport
Councillor William Webb, Executive Member for Highways and Transportation, said: "Much has already been achieved through our previous transport plans. More passengers use our award-winning CallConnect bus service and the roads are safer with fewer casualties.
"We will be looking to build on these successes with this latest plan and I would certainly encourage people to get involved. Most of us need to travel in our daily lives, to get to school or work perhaps, or to go shopping, so why not help shape the future of transport provision where you live?"

“can the council publish the total number of people in one week that use the shuttle bus from the football ground to the hospital and also the running costs ? i live next to the route and see it past on most days empty, who is paying for this service and why cant it stop and pick up people going up the hill for a small charge rather than run empty at a cost to someone ?”

“I think the bus service is Scunthorpe is acceptable, however what I do object to is the prices that are charged. Sometimes I get the bus from the bottom of Doncaster Road to Willoughby Road/Angerstein Road and it costs me almost £2. Surely if they dropped prices down, they would encourage more people to use public transport?
It seems to be nowadays that people see numbers falling and automatically increase prices to make up the shortfall not realising they are pricing others out of using their services.”
