Quality display earns Scunthorpe bowlers an excellent victory in county league
SCUNTHORPE made it back-to-back victories when they travelled to Boston in the Lincolnshire County Men's League.
The visitors slotted straight into their stride, developing an early overall lead of 28 shots to 17.

Both teams produced some quality bowling but Scunthorpe extended their advantage and eventually took an excellent victory by 13-5 points (101-86 shots).
Dennis Rhodes, Norman Anderson, John Hopkinson and Ray Robinson dominated in a 24-12 result.

Vinny Bolton, Dave Isle, Len Lammas and Jim Davidson saw their opponents battle but triumphed 23-13.
It was a very close battle as John Rayner, Arthur Meggett, Steve Redhead and Rob Skinner drew 18-all.
Bill Hutson, Peter Bennett, Tony Hebblewhite and Alex Mullin lost 22-20 and James Staples, Steven Carr, Tom Whiteley and Paul Johnson were also beaten, 21-16.
