TV DATE: Promoter Rob Godfrey.
The half hour programme, which starts at 10.35pm, is the sixth and final episode of a documentary series which follows the intense rivalry between the Smith family from Lancashire and the Wainman family of Yorkshire who have been vying to be the World Champion Stock Car drivers for decades.
Originally it was Frank Wainman and Stuart Smith who did battle in the 1970s and 1980s, now it is their sons who are battling for the world title.
The series follows the rivalry through the 2009 season when the Eddie Wright Raceway burst onto the stock car scene as one of the best new race tracks in the country.
Stock car racing is now a regular attraction at the Normanby Road track, with the Formula One cars set to visit on Saturday, September 11.
There are further fixtures for other classes on September 18, October 23 and November 6.
Speedway promoter Rob Godfrey, who originally leased the stadium for stock car racing, now plans to run the sport himself.
