Railway fans to enjoy whiff of nostalgia in Ashby and Hull
Railway enthusiasts and nostalgia lovers may be interested in attending a programme of monthly get-togethers in Ashby and Hull over the coming months.
The Humberside Branch of the Railway Correspondence and Travel Society (RCTS) holds its North Lincolnshire events at the Ashby Star Inn, Rochdale Road, Ashby, DN16 EJE
Hull events are to be staged at The Highway pub, Willerby Road, HU5 5LH.
Tuesday, September 18 - Hull: Colour Rail's new owner, Paul Chancellor, will show a selection of slides from this collection.

Tuesday, November 20 - Hull: Stuart Baker, the producer of the British Railways Atlas, will explain how it is compiled.
Tuesday, December 18 - Ashby: Members' night and annual general meeting, with pie and peas supper.
Tuesday, January 15 - Hull: Steve Batty, highly-regarded local photographer, presents 10 years of modern traction, plus steam.
Tuesday, February 19 - Scunthorpe: Well-travelled Jonathan Longbottom will show slides of European railways in the 1990s.
Tuesday, March 19 - Hull: Eddie Parker will speak - subject to be confirmed.
Tuesday, April 16 - Ashby: Michael Clements is now the proud owner of his father's steam video collection and will present some of his favourites.
Tuesday, May 21 - Hull: Mick Nicholson will speak - subject to be confirmed.
Meets start at 7.15pm and are open to non-members, a £2 donation being requested to help defray expenses.
