Railway fans can get all steamed up over heritage open event at Whitton this weekend

Vistors to St John’s Church in Whitton will be able to view the former ticket office for the first time, as part of Lincolnshire Heritage Open Days.

The ticket office, which formed part of the old North Lindsey Light railway, now forms part of a garden.

The open weekend takes place on Saturday and Sunday, September 8 and 9, from 1pm-5pm.

There will be a range of exhibitions in the church based on trade and travel.
