The library in school recently became very organised. A computerised system can now be used to issue and return books. This means if a certain type of book or title of book is required, it can be found quite easily now.

The library is located in the heart of the school, in a large, light, open area. Teaching assistants Miss Nicholls and Miss Bartczak have been running a morning library there for key stage one. It is a great opportunity for the children to read with a member of their family.

There is a wide variety of books to read and take out. It has proved to be very popular. Millie, in year two, thinks the library is a good place to read animal books and fairy tales.

The school has now also given key stage two children the exciting opportunity to attend the library in a morning before registration. Even though the morning library for older children has only been open for a week, we have had a good start.

Miss Nicholls said: "At the moment, we have roughly 15 pupils attending. The teachers want to ensure that everyone who enjoys reading has access to the library and time to read. It has been lovely seeing both parents and children benefiting from quality reading time together."
