“To avoid going to the doctors with a minor ailment I tried to join the Minor ailments Scheme advertised at my GP and the chemist. It seems you have to be on benefits to use the scheme so even though I have worked all my life, paid NI contributions, tax etc, I can't use the scheme. What a con!!!!”

“When one can't get a GP appointment without having to wait 3 weeks, then What do you expect? If you could get a GP appointment in a reasonable time scale then people wouldn't feel they need to use A&E.
If the A&E doctors correctly sorted the problem, another A&E visit days later wouldn't be needed.
Lost count of the number of times I've been to the GP only to be told either (a) I should have gone straight to A&E when I did the injury (nearly 3 weeks ago) or (b) to go up to A&E as GP can't deal with injury.”
