Recycling firm's eco-town plan
A BRIGG firm is hoping to make the phrase 'one man's trash is another man's treasure' come true for businesses.
Link2energy wants to turn Brigg into North Lincolnshire's first eco-town by urging business bosses to sign up to its scheme to collect waste which can be used as raw materials for other companies.

GOING GREEN: Malcolm Bailey, of Brigg's Link2Energy Ltd, with some of the items it recycles by providing company waste to other firms for raw materials.
The scheme works by Link2energy charging a small fee to collect waste from businesses before selling it on to firms which can use the materials in products.
Company director Malcolm Bailey said the scheme means businesses save on production costs and disposing of waste themselves.
He said: "The project we want to propose is to make Brigg an eco town. We are going to contact all businesses in Brigg to look for outlets for their waste material.
"We have never done it at this level with one town and all its businesses. We chose Brigg because it makes sense to do it on home turf and we are part of this business community.
"We are looking to run workshops with a view to finding a solution for waste streams for Brigg within a five-mile radius and finding a solution for materials within a 20-mile radius."
Neil Poole, chairman of the North Lincolnshire Federation of Small Businesses, has described Link2energy's proposal as the 'best form of recycling'.
He said: "For one company's waste to be reused by it's neighbour has to be good news. To re-use a waste product has to be the best form of recycling."

“Though Neil Poole might have acknowledged that this company and their best form of re-cyling happens because the Government has funded them to do so.”
