New signing Reid feels he has paid his dues in League One
PAUL Reid's desperation to get out of League One was a major factor in his move to Scunthorpe United, and the main reason behind his desire to see the Iron avoid the drop.
The 28-year-old penned a two-and-a-half year deal at Glanford Park, signing for an undisclosed fee from Colchester United.

"I have had a spell in League One and, although I enjoyed my time at Colchester, my aim was to get back in the Championship," said Reid.
"I have worked hard to get a chance to get back to this level and I plan to take it with both hands.
"I managed to get promoted with Barnsley and was captain when we stayed up in the first season.
"Unfortunately I had to drop down to League One to get my career back on track.
"I feel I have paid my dues, worked hard at that level and earned the right to play here again."
As for what he will bring to the side, the former Rangers player was unequivocal.
"I can bring a little bit of leadership and organisational skills," added the centre-back.
"I have played a lot of games, I am 28 now and have been at a few clubs, so I am quite experienced.
"Hopefully I can pass some of that on to the rest of the lads."

“Sounds good to me - we've been lacking some experience due to so many injuries, so hopefully we'll see a decent partnership form at the back now.”
