Delays being experienced by motorists near Scunthorpe town centre today
Temporary lights installed because of road works are causing traffic to back up in Scunthorpe today (Tuesday Jan 8) along Brigg Road, Dawes Lane and Station Road, causing delays for drivers.
Hold-ups are expected to continue for approximately 12 weeks.

Yesterday saw the resumption of the roadworks along Brigg Road that started early last year.
Work was halted well ahead of the peak Christmas shopping period, but is now back on track.

Cables are being replaced under the road as part of a £4.5 million project being carried out by Northern Power Grid to upgrade Scunthorpe's electricity supply.
Engineers are replacing eight-and-a-half kilometres of old, oil-filled cables with more environmentally friendly ones, which will last well into the future
Contractor Murphy Limited says is wishes to apologise in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused.
The firm will be working along Brigg Road from yesterday (Monday) for about 12 weeks.
It has written to a number of householders living in this area of Scunthorpe to tell them about the work.
