Andy Hughes believes United are starting to click as a team
LIFE in the Championship does not get any easier for Scunthorpe United.
After defeat at Cardiff City, the Iron host in-form Nottingham Forest tomorrow.

PROMISING SIGNS: Scunthorpe United are heading in the right direction in time for tomorrow's clash with Nottingham Forest, according to Andy Hughes.
But far from being a daunting prospect for Iron midfielder Andy Hughes, the 33-year-old would not have it any other way.
"That is what the Championship is about, you want these games," said Hughes ahead of the clash with a Reds side who missed the chance to equal a club record seven straight league wins with a 1-1 draw at QPR on Sunday.
"You don't want to be playing easy games every week, you want tough games.
"They are up near the top of the league, they have nothing to lose and are going for promotion.
"We are trying to stay up, so it will be one heck of a game.
"You don't feel sorry for yourself in life.
"If you start feeling sorry for yourself in general, that is not the right way to go to my mind.
"Never mind at work, if you start feeling sorry for yourself in life then you have got a problem."
Hughes was one of eight new faces to join the club in January.
And after his fourth Iron start at the Cardiff City Stadium, he believes a team is beginning to take shape, one that can beat the odds and avoid the drop.
"I have got to be honest, I thought that was the best we have played since I have been here," added Hughes of the game in South Wales.
"We are definitely going in the right direction and the team is starting to come together now.
"I thought we were outstanding, I thought everyone was outstanding throughout the team.
"We had a good chat last week and we have tried to put things right in training.
"I think we are trying to click.
"This was still only my fourth game, and I have only been here three weeks, but it is integral we click quickly.
"We need to do it sooner rather than later.
"But what I will say is we are giving absolutely everything for Scunthorpe United, every player is, and the manager and the staff – we are going in the right direction."
Although that may be true metaphorically speaking, it is yet to be shown in the league table.
What better way to rectify that than against Forest tomorrow.
One man, at least, will agree with that sentiment.

“HUGHESY, some great words there, sounds like real battle talk, but you need to be installing in the forwards and midfield that we now need to be shooting on sight, averaging 2shots over 90 mins for a number of games is not going to get us out of this mess.”

“Fair reflection I think. (Could you not have shown some of this level headedness the other day against Cardiff!) Fancy us for some points tomorrow.”
