SCUNTHORPE UNITED: Further Iron departures not ruled out
SCUNTHORPE United manager Alan Knill has left the door open for further departures from Glanford Park this summer.
It follows the transfer last week of central defender Rob Jones to next season's League One rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

DOOR OPEN: Iron boss Alan Knill.
Jones, a club record £350,000 buy from Hibernian two years ago, left for nothing with the Iron happy to cut their losses on a player who was one of their top wage earners.
And Knill knows that if he can prune the squad he has inherited at Scunthorpe, that will give him greater opportunity to bring in his own players this summer.
He is already looking to bring in five or six new faces – and had hoped a couple of them might already be here.
But the deals are proving longer to conclude than he wished.
"If we receive any offers for our players, then I suppose you have to look at them and weigh up the pros and cons," said the United boss.
"We would have to weigh it up as we try to juggle the squad in all areas.
"But so far, there have been no offers for us to consider."
Knill admitted he was happy for Jones to leave.
"His wages were a big problem for us. His departure makes our budget a bit more flexible," said the Iron manager.

“Every player has his price I suppose - we seem hell bent on selling anyone of any value...is this a sweetener for O'Connor departing?”
