SCUNTHORPE UNITED: Knill - It's time for Nolan to shape up
FULL-back Eddie Nolan still has a role to play for Scunthorpe United next season.
But he has to come back for the start of the new campaign in better physical condition.

Eddie Nolan
That's the message from manager Alan Knill to the former Republic of Ireland under-21 skipper, who still has 12 months left on his contract at Glanford Park.
Nolan had an excellent first half of last season in the left-back role while on loan from Preston.
But after making the move permanent during the January transfer window, he lost his form in the second half of the season.
The one game he started in a team picked by Knill proved a nightmare, as United's relegation was confirmed following a 2-1 home defeat against Millwall on Easter Monday.
Playing at right-back, Nolan was at fault for both goals before being dragged off after 63 minutes.
"I do not think I have seen the best of Eddie," confessed the Scunthorpe boss.
"Everyone tells me how good he was here at the start of last season.
"I expect him to come back for the start of pre-season training in better condition than when he left.
"If he can do that, then there is a really good player there.
"Next season is going to be a big one for Eddie."
Nolan could provide the answer to the problem left-back position for United.
Knill has always stressed the fact that the defence he inherited is too lop-sided, with too many right-backs and not enough to play on the opposite flank.
Nolan is not a natural left footer, but has always looked much happier playing on that side of the United back-line.
In the meantime, Knill is still looking to bring in another left-back.
"We have made some inquiries about bringing someone in on a season-long loan," said the United manager.
