SCUNTHORPE UNITED: More new faces are on the way
SCUNTHORPE United manager Alan Knill believes his second bit of transfer business this summer is just about a done deal.
And he is confident a third new face could arrive at Glanford Park some time next week.
-

FINAL DETAILS: United boss Alan Knill is confident of adding to his squad next week.
Knill himself has now gone away on a family holiday, happy that his squad rebuilding plans for next season seem to be heading in the right direction.
But he won't be far from his phone, trying to make sure that nothing goes wrong with the duo he looks set to sign.
Both were operating in League Two last season.
One is a free transfer man, the other is a free agent, but under the age of 24, which means a transfer fee is likely to be involved.
Both are believed to be forward players who will follow yesterday's arrival of striker Jordan Robertson on a one-year deal.
"I can't give any names," insisted Knill.
"We have more or less done the deal with one player who is a free transfer but he is away at the moment.
"Our general manager David Beeby and the player's agent are just sorting out the final details.
"I think we will conclude one, possibly two more deals in the next week."
Knill is also hopeful about the young player who will cost money – someone with the ability to play anywhere across the front line.
"There will be a fee involved and I am lucky that the chairman here is happy to go to a tribunal for young players like him," the Iron manager said.
"If we have to go to a tribunal, then that is what we will do, but usually it does not reach that far.
"The two clubs normally manage to come to an agreement somewhere along the line.
"We have spoken to the player first because he is a free agent.
"He is a good player and he seems happy to come here.
"Just like Jordan Robertson, who we signed this week, these players are ones looking to take that next step up and prove themselves at a higher level.
"They have proved themselves at the level I was at for most of last season and we feel they can improve again.
"Those are the type of players we want at this club."

“Would be happy with the two from Crewe (Donaldson/Moore), pace and skill, but would they we able to cut it in league one, Donaldson is another player who couldnt hack it in Scotland.”

“Delroy Facey? - Not a Cat's chance. Lennel-John Lewis has been offered a contract by Bury so I doubt if we would be parting with any cash for such a player.”

“Rumour has it that he is about to sign Lennel-John Lewis who is a free agent,he scored 1 goal in 12 starts for Bury fc last season and was a constant bench warmer. The other player i believe is Leeroy Facey who left Lincoln City on a free transfer.Good luck with those two you will need it Alan.”

“On Rotherham fc it says they are in negotiations with a league 1 club but may have to go to a tribunal! Which would fit with the iron !”

“It will be the two strikers from Crewe who have not signed new contracts. Donaldson is 27yrs old the other is 23yrs old. It fits anyway!”
