Scunthorpe Utd: Alan Knill won't get carried away by Iron performance at Wycombe Wanderers
ALAN Knill has refused to get carried away by his side's display at Wycombe Wanderers yesterday.
But the Iron manager believes the 'quality' his side produced during the 1-1 draw at Adams Park offers plenty of optimism for the campaign ahead.

Alan Knill applauds the Iron's travelling fans at Adams Park.
United came from behind to level courtesy of Michael Nelson's header five minutes before half-time against a side promoted from League Two.
But it was the slick passing and skill on the ball that most pleased Knill – especially given it came on the back of one of the most disappointing pre-season campaigns in recent years.
"We played with a lot of movement, a lot of passing and then some quality," said the United manager.
"We were disappointed not win the game, because we had the better clear-cut chances and didn't take them, but in the end, to come from a goal, down, we're happy to take a point.
"I watched the Hull game on Friday night and listened to (Blackpool manager) Ian Holloway afterwards.
"He was the same in that his team haven't played very well pre-season, but once the season kicks off, you see who the real players are.
"I thought my group stepped forward today and took the game to Wycombe.
"They did all the things that we ask them to do, go forward, isolate people and try to get some quality.
"We didn't look like we had a cross or a shot in us pre-season.
"Part of that was my fault, because I wanted us to keep possession more, but when we go onto a big pitch and are playing for three points, we can show we've got some quality."
Opposite number Gary Waddock was also happy to collect a point from a game in which he said Wanderers were indebted to goalkeeper Nikki Bull – who denied the Iron with a host of top stops.
"We've stepped up a level and we've come up against a very good team with very good players," he acknowledged.
"You could see today the difference between League One and League Two, but we weathered the storm and in little spells we were able to hurt them.
"Every time we come in we're talking about Nikki Bull. I'm running out of things to say about him. He was absolutely magnificent."
