Sacked LOR workers to be reinstated
THE dispute over redundancies and foreign workers at the Total Lindsey Oil Refinery, affecting hundreds of North Lincolnshire workers, has been resolved, unions claim.
In a statement, Unite said all 647 workers sacked after beginning wildcat strikes two weeks ago would be able to return to their jobs.

And 51 men made redundant by Total following the end of their stage of a construction project also appear to have won back full-time positions.
Les Bayliss, of Unite, said: "Following hours of detailed negotiations we now have proposals for a return to work that the unions will put to the members at Lindsey.
"Employers have agreed reinstatement of sacked workers. The details will be put to the workforce on Monday morning."
A Total spokeswoman said: "Total is pleased that contracting companies and the unions were able to reach a positive conclusion to the talks last night.
"We expect this means that the contractors will be able to get back to work as soon as possible and get the project completed on time with no further disruption."
A GMB statement said it would be recommending the deal to members.
Total are yet to make a statement on the deal, reached after negotiations in London on Tuesday and Manchester yesterday.

“Agreed Rob!
So much for those reckoning it was daft and they'd all end up on the dole. Quite the reverse eh?
Bit quiet on here, isn't it Rob? Where are all the doomsayers?”
