“Obviously, the world has to look at viable alternate power sources, unfortunately these windmills are not amongst them. The internet is a great place to find out the real truth about these systems. Who are the people really pushing for them?
I drive by windmills in various locations in the US, sometimes turning, most times not. They would have to rank right up there with the most ugly things on the planet and serve no real purpose except to make some "feel good".”

“OK........ I've read all the arguments on here and I think we should go NUCLEAR. Besides half the country is already radioactive with fallout from Chernobyl.”

“Bill,
The reason more aren't put offshore is the reason they are built in the first place- money.
They cost more to build offshore and more to service- they have to go out on a boat.
Less set up and maintenence costs mean more profits from subsidies go to company shareholders.”
