“...parking outside schools at the start and end of scholl is terrible, get some traffic wardens patroling at peek times. The majority of these parents are just lazy, most live localy to the schools, no wonder the kids are so unfit now, they never walk anywhere!!”

“The police want to do something about the parking of parents on Hampton Road close to the junction of Cemetery Road. It is atrocious. Parents literally abandon their cars close to the junction (any resemblance to parking is none existent) & think nothing of blocking the road to larger vehicles by parking opposite another vehicle. God help any resident on this road who needs a fire engine or ambulance during school pick up/drop off times because they can not get up there. If you ask any of them to move their vehicles so you can get your larger vehicle through all you are met with is abuse.”

“Yes parking outside schools is diabolical and problematics.
Some parents may only live a few minutes walk away and could have walked.
BUT 86% of Mum's work these days and parents are often trying to juggle school/working hours and time is of the essence. So there are going to be more cars doing the school runs which causes lots of congestion. THIS does not excuse bad and inconsiderate and illegal parking.
Perhaps if more schools offered breakfast clubs then some parents may stagger dropping off children and be under less pressure of trying to get to work on time themselves.”

“They are only following the bad example set when they learnt to drive. Take a look outside John Leggatt any lunchtime and you will see two or three driving school cars parked on double yellow lines waiting for their pupils.”

“catchment areas parents should have to apply for permits if having to travel over certain distance the biggest danger outside schools is parked cars police should be on hand to hand out parking tickets , some mothers only travel a couple of streets too lazy to walk most seem to be on mobile phones while turning into school streets fine them , lack of policing in these areas , lets have some police back on the streets , and pick up or parking permits in force a small charge should be made but only to those who have to travel over a certain distance , those from a couple of streets away should be made to walk rather than add to congestion .”

“The easy solution would be to make all cemetry road double yellow lines, it's funny how I stand outside the school waiting for my daughter to come out and the amount of near misses is unbelievable, the island outside the snicket is dangerous, the crossing lady had two weeks off and our inept council refused to cover her even though her daughter volunteered. So we can waste £200,000 on this **** layout but can't pay for cover.”

“These parents are teaching their impressionable young children, that it's acceptable to be selfish, inconsiderate, lazy, bad-mannered, inefficient, & a law breaker!
No wonder society has problems!!”

“Maybe the council should remove all roads from outside schools to alleviate all the dangers.”
