Schools closed
TWO schools have closed because of central heating problems.
A broken heating pump has caused Luddington and Garthorpe Primary School to be closed for all pupils and staff.

A spokeswoman for the school said: "It's just a heating pump that's broken down.
"As far as I know it's just closed today."
The school is expected to reopen tomorrow.
Meanwhile Melior Community College, Chandos Road, Scunthorpe, is closed today for Year 10 students.
A spokeswoman for the college said: "It's just closed for Year 10 only because of a heating failure in some of the classrooms. It is expected to reopen for Year 10 students tomorrow."

“Schools need to be heated so that pupils can attend English lessons to learn how to spell and use the correct grammer. My skool were cold :)”

“I go to melior north site and yesterday i was off as all year 9 had the day off but no one should be at school if the heating is down iv been freezing and the teacher wont let you wear your coats in class either i thought there was health and saftey but not at this school it should be against the law for schools to keep you at school with no heating iv been back today and its still not fixed and they dont no when it will be and the classrooms iv been in had no heating at this rate we will all be really ill they need to sort this out and keep us all off till it gets fixed.”

“I sincerely hope they do not use British Gas because the chap next door but one to me has had about ten visits in the last year from them to remedy faults or they cannot fix 'a certain fault'. Can't be his missus-she's ugly!!”
