Scunthorpe United: Knill confident young midfielder will join
MANAGER Alan Knill is confident of more transfer activity later this week at Scunthorpe United.
So far, striker Jordan Robertson is the one new arrival this summer.

But Knill has reached a verbal agreement to bring one former Premier League youngster to Glanford Park and has high hopes of concluding a deal for another more experienced midfielder in the next few days.
With the Scunthorpe squad due back for the start of pre-season training in 11 days' time, Knill is now stepping up his transfer efforts.
Patience though, is something he knows he has to continue to show to bring in the players he wants.
"We have done a deal for one player, but he is away on holiday at the moment," said the United boss.
"He is a young midfielder who I tried to sign while I was at Bury. He is someone I see as being one for the future."
The deal that Knill hopes to conclude this week though, will be for someone to give United balance on the left hand side of midfield.
He won't say who, but one player who could fit that bill, who he has already been linked with, is Nicky Law from Rotherham, who is out of contract this summer.
All the Scunthorpe boss would confess was that it will probably involve the club going to a tribunal to agree a transfer fee for the player concerned.
His next priority is to bring in another striker.
"We are still looking for someone with pace," he confessed.
"It is something that we are aware we need and we have spoken to loads of players."
Knill is likely now to settle for four or five new faces this summer.
"There is not that much room for manoeuvre because we already have a squad here that is quite big," he continued.
"You do not want too many players because then it can become unmanageable from a coaching point of view."
Another left-back, is no longer a top priority for Knill.
"We have Eddie Nolan and Andy Hughes who can both play there," the manager said.
"But if I did get the chance to bring in a youngster on loan, then I would look at it."

“Do we really need to sign players as being "one for the future", surely it's players "for the present" that we need, remembering that it is our experienced players that have left the club, we have already got players for the future, simply because they are not good enough to maintain a first team place !!!!!!!!!!!”
