SCUNTHORPE United will host a Football League family festival at Glanford Park on Saturday.

There will be fun activities including fancy dress and face-painting before, during and after the Iron's Championship clash with Tranmere Rovers.

The festival is one of nearly 50 being held at Football League matches throughout the season.

David Malkinson, the League's head of marketing, said: "We feel very strongly that football is a sport that appeals to the whole family.

"Modern football offers good value for money and a place where families can enjoy each other’s company as well as the action on the pitch.

"A day out at the football can help bring a family together in an exciting and sociable environment."

Family tickets are priced:

• One adult and one child (under-16) £18

• Two adults and one child £30

• Additional children £2 each

Call the ticket office on 0871 221 1899.
