Scunthorpe United players suffer whiplash injuries after being involved in road traffic accident
IRON duo Matt Godden and Robbie Gibbons are today continuing to recover from a minor car crash which meant the former of the duo was ruled out of last night’s game with Stevenage.
The vehicle in which they were travelling was a write off, but boss Brian Laws said the pair had escaped serious injury.

Matt Godden missed Scunthorpe United's win over Stevenage on Tuesday after being involved in a car accident.
“The pleasing thing, and I’m sure all the supporters would concur, is that they’re both okay,” said the United manager, after watching his side earn a 1-0 victory over Boro.
“The car is a write-off – but it could have been much worse.

“They’ve got a bit of whiplash, so it wasn’t going to be good to have involved either of them in today’s game.
“Thankfully there’s no long-term damage and I would expect giving Matty a few days off will be enough to help him recover.”
Godden, 21, has been a regular on the bench for United since returning from a loan spell at Blue Square Premier League side Ebbsfleet in early December.
Gibbons is already not being considered for selection because of long-term illness.
