Three of Scunthorpe United's relegation rivals draw
HARTLEPOOL United's hopes of League One survival suffered a further knock last night as they were held to a goalless draw by 10-man Colchester United.
The visitors, who moved a point clear of Scunthorpe United, had Jabo Ibehre sent off for a lunge on Neil Austin just before the break, but survived long spells of Pools possession and pressure to hang on for a draw.
The Iron hold a seven point advantage over Hartlepool, with both clubs now having played the same amount of matches.
Carlisle United are six points clear of the bottom four, but also had to settle for a draw at Crawley Town, despite having gone ahead courtesy of a long-range free-kick from Jon-Paul McGovern.

Stevenage have probably just about ruled themselves out of being sucked into the relegation battle as a solitary strike from Marcus Haber was enough to earn them victory over Brentford and end a six-match losing run in the process.
The final League One match last night saw Izale McLeod, Daniel Powell and Stephen Gleeson all score for MK Dons as they crushed leaders Doncaster Rovers 3-0 at stadium:mk.
