Scunthorpe Utd: Hard work starts from now - Knill
Alan Knill has warned his Scunthorpe United players, this is where the hard work really starts.
Keen not to get caught up in any hype surrounding a first league victory of the season, Knill admits there can be no hint of complacency if the Iron are to build on that result.

Damien Mozika’s brace helped see off Yeovil Town last Saturday, but the manager stressed the 2-1 scoreline covered over a lot of cracks.
“The win, yes, it’s great, but I think we should have won six weeks ago,” said Knill.
“I knew the win was coming, it was just when.
“I’ve got to say as well, a lot of the time you win and everyone says, that’s brilliant.
“But it covers over a lot of poor stuff.
“Yes, I thought Yeovil played well, but I thought we helped them play well.
“There are a lot of things to do.
“We don’t think for a minute, ‘there’s the win, that’s the hard work over and done with, it’s going to be easy from now on’, because it isn’t. It gets harder.
“Now everybody expects us to win again, like I do.
“We worked pretty hard for that win.
“You have to take the criticism because that’s the game we’re in, but when the win comes it’s fantastic and you take the plaudits because you’ve worked really hard to get to that.
“Now we have to work even harder to continue that.”
Knill is looking for the ‘complete package’ when United travel to Stevenage for the first time on Saturday.
Graham Westley’s side have made a promising start in the third tier after back-to-back promotions, and there will be no taking them lightly on the Iron’s part.
“It’s a really difficult place to go and the staff there have done an unbelievable job taking them through the leagues,” said Knill.
“The fact it’s Stevenage who used to be non-league is irrelevant. They are a really good league side.
“Any thoughts that it’s an easy game, you can dispel. It’s nowhere near an easy game.
“You have to compete, if you don’t compete against Stevenage you’re in trouble.
“They do that week in, week out and that’s what’s brought them success.
“And add to that, they’ve got some pretty good players and a manager that pushes the team and the club all the time.
“It’s not a surprise the success Stevenage have had if you know the people there, like the manager and the coaching staff.
“If you know those people, you can see why they’ve been successful.
