Scunthorpe Utd: Iron will appeal Andy Barcham's red card
Scunthorpe United hope to have Andy Barcham available for tomorrow's League One trip to Rochdale.
The Iron have decided to appeal against the red card the winger was shown during Saturday's draw with Sheffield United and a Football Association disciplinary committe will review the sending off tomorrow afternoon.

RARITY: Andy Barcham's red card on Saturday was the first of his career.
Barcham was given his marching orders in the 25th minute against the Blades for a foul on visiting midfielder Michael Doyle.
He is currently banned for three games, starting at Spotland tomorrow, but the length of the suspension could be extended if the committee deem the appeal frivilous.
Manager Alan Knill is hopeful the 24-year-old, who has started his Iron career strongly on the back of a summer switch from Gillingham, will be available to be part of his plans.
"He's never ever been sent off in his whole career," he said on Monday lunchtime.
"The referee said to me at half-time he went over the top of the ball, but he was nowhere near going over the top of the ball. His foot was on the floor.
"We knew he was a good player but he brings something we didn't have before, he has pace and he is direct.
"Barchy will say the only thing that has been missing is goals, but we're quite sure that will come."

“Our time has now passed - whereas crewe, Walsall and Colchester etc (none of whome I'd envisage gracing the NPC again)all used the excuse of second teir football to progress off the field (academies, new grounds, new stands etc) that will stand them in good stead for the next centuary, SUFC took the cash and ran. I just hope that we dont follow Grimsby because that seems to be the blueprint - STAND STILL IN FOOTBALL ARE YOU GET OVERTAKEN!
Fair play to the team though - two Wembley visits, a title, stopping etc far outstrip any expectations and I, for one, will never forget the last five years of success...such a shame that we failed to use this GOLDEN period to really establish the club in the town afte 40 years of doubt.
Up the Iron!”

“I think, Angrier, you have an overinflated value for the club in mind. Given the prospective profitability either in Lge 1 or Lge 2, about 75p is all PStoff will need.
The ground needs a serious revamp if it is once again to host CCC footy so it is a liability rather than an asset. And mostly likely "change of use" to a supermarket wouldn't be forthcoming either given the number at that location (the current chairman has probably already tried that).
The "playing assets" aren't worth a light given the short duration of their contracts.
Make an offer PStoff and tell the Chairman he has to pay the transaction fees. He will be getting off lightly.”

“Careful Psoff you'll be supporting one of the clubs off the field activities if you keep that up.
Discussed with the Chairman his handling of the club yet?
Arranged the re-mortgage of your house?”
