Scunthorpe Utd: Iron draw Newcastle United
SCUNTHORPE United have landed another plum draw in the Carling Cup.
The Iron will face Premier League side Newcastle United in the second round of the competition having disposed of Accrington Stanley earlier this week.

The match, which will take place the week beginning Monday, August 22, means Scunthorpe have now met Premier League opposition in five of their last seven League Cup campaigns following past clashes with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Birmingham City.
Newcastle are no strangers to Glanford Park, having faced the Iron in the Championship during the 2009-10 season.
Two goals that night from Martyn Woolford, which sandwiched a Kevin Nolan strike, earned Scunthorpe a memorable 2-1 success.
