Scunthorpe Utd: Iron expect to confirm two signings next week
Two new signings are expected at Scunthorpe United next week as manager Alan Knill has confirmed deals are in place.
A striker and a full-back are to undergo medicals on Monday and if successful will complete their moves to Glanford Park.

DEALS: Scunthorpe manager Alan Knill is hoping to welcome two new arrivals
So far, Knill has added only three players to his squad, with Josh Walker, James Severn and Callum Kennedy officially becoming Iron players last Sunday when their contracts with their previous clubs expired.
The United boss will not name the duo of prospective arrivals, but last week did reveal an offer had been made to former Leeds United front man Mike Grella.

“Don't know about Ribeiro. He was injured a lot then threw a wobbly and wouldn't stay when offered a loan extension.
AK needs a hol in Gdansk and Kiev to sign up a few of their Sunday league players. They will be cheap and mostly better than the Lge1/2 cast-offs we are signing. Might attract the local immigrant population to support us.”

“I'm sure Alan has plenty of Irons in the fire "pardon the fun",wasn't your assistant manager saying only recently that your club is brass sick ha ha?.I'm surprised he slipped up by not signing Lockwood from Donny as he would have had a shorter move to Scunthorpe.There are plenty of decent players out there which can do a good job for Barker's ex club.I'm sure Alan is still being driven by spite but will this prove to be a distraction to your club in the long run?.Nice to see that some Yorkshire & Humberside players are now opting for the north west.”

Joe Widdowson signed for Northampton. Were SUFC not interested in him ? Could we not compete with Northampton (Lge 2 bottom half, ground capacity 6k, normal crowds around 3K).
