Scunthorpe Utd: Iron are improving, but there's still work to do - Brass
Chris Brass believes Scunthorpe United's new-found solidity has given them the perfect platform to improve on a sluggish first quarter of the season.
But now the Iron's assistant manager is keen to see his side step up their performances at home.

Chris Brass watches from the touchline at stadium:mk, where his side made it successive clean sheets for the first time since February.
Although slightly disappointed to have been held to a goal-less draw at MK Dons – their second successive 0-0 scoreline – Brass could not hide his pleasure at restricting one of League One's prolific home scorers to only half chances in front of goal.
And having waited 25 matches for a clean sheet, Scunthorpe now have two in as many matches – a timely turnaround in fortunes according to the former Burnley and York City centre-back.
"We've worked extremely hard defensively in order to keep clean sheets to gain a platform to go on and win games," said Brass.
"We carried on from where we left off with the Brentford performance, but the football was better at times.
"We were a little bit disappointed we didn't have a goal to show for our efforts, but I thought when we did have possession we showed a little bit of confidence coming back in.
"We were playing a very good team. The manager here has the right ethos and we knew it was going to be a tough game.
"This is a really tough place to come to, but we managed to keep the crowd quiet and nullify them."
The stalemate at stadium:mk provided another decent performance and point on the road for the Iron, who are now unbeaten in four away games.
Brass though is keen to see his side replicate that effort in front of their own fans given they have picked up just six of a possible 21 points available at Glanford Park this term.
"Our more dominant performances have come away from home. We now have to take what we're doing away into our home form," he continued.
"Hard work should be a gimmie, that's what we and the supporters expect. You've got to show a level of commitment and pride when you go out there.
"If we give the level of commitment we did here and put in the tackles we have when the ball has gone in the box, it lifts everybody, including the crowd.
"We played some better football today and created chances and the lads up front will start taking them. When they do that, everybody will step forward.
"We're slowly getting there and we're pleased with where we are at the minute, but there's still a lot of work to do.
"Our home form is going to be key if we're going to climb up the league."

“Knill seems to be geting the defence sorted which is a major plus. Before these two games I'd gladly have taken a pair of goalless draws and with a little luck it could have been better. We're beginning to become a hard team to beat, now we need to turn the draws into wins and everything will look better”

“The team seems to be working hard and as a team, and it looks like we have got a bit of organisation in the defence now. At the start of the season I would have taken four defeats in the first fourteen games but now slightly disapointed with the number of draws. If we can sort the forwards out we'd be climbing up the league. Still Rome wasn't built in a day, plenty of patience required this season.”
