Scunthorpe Utd: Iron wait on Ajose green light
ALAN Knill is still waiting for the green light from Manchester United to try and bring forward Nicky Ajose on a long-term loan to Glanford Park.
"So far they have not indicated what their plans are for Nicky yet," said the United boss.

Loan hope: Manchester United's Nicky Ajose
"I know other clubs are interested in taking him, but United have not decided yet whether they will let him out on loan again.
"If they do, then it is my job to try and persuade them that allowing him to come to Scunthorpe would be in his best interests."
Knill had Ajose on loan last season at Bury and he scored 12 goals in the Shakers' League Two promotion campaign.
One of the other clubs reported to be chasing Ajose is Peterborough, who were promoted to Championship level via the play-offs.
They are managed by Sir Alex Ferguson's son Darren, which would seem to suggest he could be on his way to London Road this season.
That is unless Manchester United decide Ajose's best path forward is a spell in League One.
Millwall, Doncaster Rovers and Barnsley have also been linked to the winger-cum-striker during the summer.

“Anyway, I reckon this lad sounds good. Sounds like he works real hard, and i like people who work hard. That's how you get places and get a good physique. I don't think he'll come to the iron tho. I think he'll probably go back to bury or somewhere near to manchester”

“Yes i agree this player will move on to a Championship club like Ryan Taylor, their agents will also push for bigger fees which determines where they go.It's a usual non- starter and charm offensive tactic made by Knilly,it won't get him anywhere at the end of the day.”

“Apart from the fact we tend to use loanees as bench warmers until their talents become apparent there is absolutely no chance of getting him here. Move on.”
