SCUNTHORPE United midfielder Jimmy Ryan is unlikely to feature in tomorrow night's clash with Oldham Athletic at Glanford Park.

The midfielder, after picking up a dead leg when playing against former club Accrington Stanley last Tuesday, is still unable to run at full capacity, with manager Alan Knill pessimistic about the scouser's chances.

"Jimmy has not trained so it looks like he is going to struggle for tomorrow," said the Iron boss.

"But we are hopeful he is going to be okay for the weekend.

"We knew it was going to be five to seven days (rest period), and it will be seven days tomorrow.

"He has got a bit more movement but is not really running yet."
