Scunthorpe Utd: Knill running rule over Norwich striker
Scunthorpe United boss Alan Knill is running the rule over Norwich City striker Oli Johnson.
The 23-year-old, who spent part of last season on loan at Yeovil Town, has been training with the Iron after watching Saturday's 1-1 draw with Colchester United at Glanford Park.

And he is set to play for United's reserves at Middlesbrough tonight.
"We expressed an interest in Oli a while ago, but the problem was I hadn't seen him," said Knill.
"I hadn't seen him since he was at Stockport really, so we couldn't make a judgement on him.
"We'd asked whether Oli could come and he came in and has trained.
"He's going to train this week with us and then we'll make a decision."
Knill revealed at the weekend he is hopeful of welcoming a Premier League striker during the loan transfer window, but Johnson was not his original target.
"He wasn't the striker I was referring to, and at the time I wasn't even thinking about that," he said.
"That isn't him, but Oli's in and it could be him if he does really well.
"I like him, I like the attributes he has – he has pace and power and is a good footballer.
"The only problem is he hasn't kicked a ball really all summer.
"He's trained but he hasn't had any competitive matches so he's going to play for us tonight in the reserves at Middlesbrough.
"We'll just see how he does.
"We are always mindful that he hasn't played any competitive football this season.
"We just said to him, go and enjoy it, run around and show us what you can do.
"We've seen in him training and he's got a lot of attributes we like.
"He's a good player."

“What a load ot tripe you spout Norelov, don't you have spellcheck on your pc.What's opion and matchs when it's at home?.Your comments are pure drival and like the people that churn out the rubbish at your club don't have any fact to back up your pathetic arguments.”

“You say there isnt a lot happening at our club at the moment which poses an interesting point as your either saying that you pay as much attention to a club that has your ex-manager has their manager as you pay to your own (in order to make a fair knowledge based argument), or your stating your opion that you dont think there is much happening at the club without any basis. Either way its a gutless argument.
Also if you took out all the "rumours, speculations etc" and just left the facts, would that prove that there is more happening? Despite the fact it would be the same amount happening...
What we have is factual stories about the matchs, signings etc and then the rumours on top which doesnt make it a spin heavy media machine but more of a more full media coverage media machine.”
