Scunthorpe Utd: Knill tipping duo to build on promising debuts
Alan Knill was delighted with the contribution of debutants Sam Johnstone and Shane Duffy during the Iron's 1-1 draw with Sheffield United.
He expects both to make a big impact during their time on loan at Glanford Park after watching both play the full 90 minutes against the Blades

A WORD IN YOUR EAR: Alan Knill embraces Sam Johnstone after the final whistle.
Johnstone showed some assured handling, but it was Duffy who really caught the eye, adding organisation and composure to the centre of the Iron's defence .
"Shane is what I think is a proper centre-half," said Knill of the Everton teenager.
"He wants to head it, he wants to defend and then he'll have the ball as well.
"We're delighted that we've got him and thankful to Everton that they've let us have him because there were plenty of other people who wanted him."
When asked if he had taken 'a leap of faith' by handing a debut to Manchester United rookie Johnstone 48 hours after his arrival at Glanford Park, Knill said he did not see the point in signing players to then sit them on the bench.
"I'm not a big believer in signing loan players and then not playing them," said the Iron boss.
"What's the point? If I'm going to sign somebody, I'm signing him to play in my first team because I think he's going to make us better.
"It was an easy decision. As soon as we got Shane and as soon as we got the keeper, they were starting.
"He's going to be a really good goalkeeper."

“Can you feel the love being generated at Glorious Glanford Park? i guess the only reason Scunny aren't recruiting their own local talent is because there isn't any. It's just so easy to pick off a mighty premier leagueleague team's young talent isn't it?.I hope your goalie makes a swift return and doesn't lose confidence with being out of the game for so long.”
