Scunthorpe Utd: Nicky Ajose is keen to 'make an impression' with Iron
The club wants the player to kick-start their campaign. The player needs a club to 'resurrect' his career.
Manager Alan Knill believes Scunthorpe United's capture of Nicky Ajose is a deal that will bear fruit for both parties' respective seasons.

Ajose has completed a loan switch to the Iron and will spend the next three months at Glanford Park trying to rebuild a reputation that in the summer saw him courted by almost a quarter of the Championship.
The 19-year-old swapped one Ferguson for another, joining Peterborough United from Manchester United in a £300,000 deal.
But he has fallen down the pecking order at a Posh as a result of a hamstring injury suffered on his league debut.
Although hungry for goals, Ajose admits he has to, initially, settle for games.
And he is hopeful renewing acquaintances with United boss Alan Knill, under whom he shot to prominence while on loan at Bury last season, will provide both.
"All the management team are really good coaches and motivators," Ajose told the Telegraph, when asked about what had made the Iron such an attractive prospect.
"I had a good last season with them at Bury last year and helped them get promoted.
"To come here and work with the gaffer again, and with some good players, I think is going to be good experience for me.
"I know the way he plays so I'm confident I should be able to quickly settle in.
"We've got a game on Saturday and I want to make an impression.
"Where or if I play is down to whatever the gaffer feels, but I'm raring to go if selected.
"This is the start of my season now hopefully. I need to get a run of games and when I do, I'll get going."
As previously reported, Posh director of football Barry Fry said it was with some 'reluctance' the Championship club had allowed Ajose to leave London Road.
Knill though has been quick to reassure Peterborough their talented teenager is in safe hands.
Having thanked the Iron board for going outside of their planned playing budget to recruit Ajose, Knill says he and the player must repay that faith 'ten-fold'.
To keep everyone happy the versatile forward must return to his parent club sharp and confident and leave his temporary employers much higher up the League One table.
"It's unfortunate for him it hasn't worked out for him for one reason or another, but we're thankful Peterborough have given us a chance to help resurrect his career," said Knill, whose side are yet to win any of their opening nine league games this season.
"We've brought him in to do the same things we did at Bury. He'll go back to Peterborough a more confident player.
"He had some other options, but he really wanted to come to us. He trusts us with his talent and we'll try our best to bring that out.
"It's our job to get him firing for us and also for Peterborough."

“Schooled at Manchester United - wouldn't ever make the grade - sold on the cheap to a promoted league 1 club, pulls up injured, can't get back in to a championship team, loaned to a league 1 team that couldn't win a game if it hit them in the face so they don't have to pay his wages during the next 3 months full of injuries. Great signing - well done SUFC”

“Schooled at Mancheter United, bags of goals at Bury, 300k move to Peterborough, flash car, flava hair do ... and no suit/tie!
Number 217 signing since a player turned up on their first day in anything other than a shell suit, distressed jeans, SuperDry T Shirt ensemble.
All the best at United Ajose!
Up the Iron!”
