ALL eyes at West Street tonight will be focused on whether Michael O'Connor and Garry Thompson get their first run-outs of the pre-season programme for Scunthorpe United.

Both missed Saturday's opener at Bottesford Town, but are expected to be included for tonight's trip to Winterton (7.30pm).

O'Connor, subject of a bid from Championship side Peterborough last week, has picked up a slight niggle in training.

"The sooner we can get him out on the pitch, the better," declared assistant boss Chris Brass.

Thompson too, was left out at Birch Park as a precaution.

"He will get some sort of a run-out at Winterton," said Brass.

"He has done everything we have asked of him in respect of training and is itching to play."

But United won't take any risks with a player who missed nearly all last season through injury.

Fans will get another look at the Iron's three trialists at Winterton.

Striker Mustafa Tiryaki, midfield man Dominic Green and utility man Stephen Brogan will all feature at West Street.

United are again expected to field a different team in each half against Winterton, who play in the Premier Division of the Northern Counties East League.
