The Iron will further assess Connor Jennings' foot injury when he returns to Glanford Park some time next week.

The former Stalybridge Celtic striker has managed just 20 minutes of action since joining Scunthorpe in January, having broken his fifth metatarsal in training little more than a week after penning a two-and-a-half-year deal with the club.

He underwent surgery last week and is likely to be out for at least another month.

"He's had the operation and it went well. Now it's just about recovery," said boss Alan Knill.

"He's a real good kid, he texts and phones all the time to let everyone know he's okay and that he's in a rush to get back."
