Scunthorpe Utd: Walsall match no bigger than any other - Knill
If anyone shares the frustrations of Scunthorpe United manager Alan Knill this season, it's his opposite number at the weekend.
Only a single goal – and the dotted line to signal the start of the relegation zone – separates the Iron and Saturday's opponents Walsall in the League One table, with both teams having drawn 13 games this season.

JUST ANOTHER GAME: Alan Knill
And while it's the Saddlers that visit Glanford Park on the right side of the bottom four, Knill is sure they will be just as keen as Scunthorpe to turn some of those stalemates into much-sought after successes.
"Everyone will say the game on Saturday is a six-pointer and it's a this and a that," said the United boss.
"It's an important game, yes, but no different to all the other games we've played.
"Walsall are in pretty much the same position as us in that they haven't lost so many games, but they've drawn too many.
"I suppose if you're a gambler you'd put your money on another!
"I'm sure Dean is just as frustrated as we are. He'll be thinking 'we're not too far away', but the points total doesn't say the same.
"It's a fact we need to start winning – and so do they."
It was as a result of their scheduled game at Sheffield United being cancelled last weekend that the Iron slipped into the relegation zone.
Knill is adamant though it will have little affect on Scunthorpe's psyche as they prepare for an important fortnight, with matches against Yeovil Town and Rochdale also on the horizon.
"We've only dropped into the bottom four because we didn't play," added the United chief.
"I don't think it has an affect psychologically. It doesn't change too much because we all know one result gets you out of it and two results get you right out of it.
"But we have to be better than we have been if we are going to get up the league.
"If you want to win games, you don't concede after one minute against Sheffield Wednesday.
"I think we can be better, because we've seen already we can compete, but there's always an error somewhere. We need to stop those."

“I cannot understand Knill saying that "people think it is a six pointer, it's the same as any other game".
Just a reminder, we are level on points just now, if we win we go three points above Walsall, if we lose we go three points behind them, SO although you can only achieve three points from this game, THERE ARE SIX POINTS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WINNING AND LOSING THIS MATCH, WE NEED TO BEAT THESE OTHER BOTTOM TEAMS, END OF STORY !!!!!!!!!!!
AND PLEASE, DON'T LET US THROW AWAY ANOTHER LEAD, AND A DRAW WOULD BE A VERY BAD RESULT FOR US, WE STILL NEED 8 WINS AND GOD KNOWS WHERE WE ARE GOING TO GET THESE FROM IF WE CANNOT BEAT TEAMS LIKE WALSALL.
UP THE IRON.”

“"We've only dropped into the bottom four because we didn't play,"
WE SHOULD BE NOWHERE NEAR THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE.”
