Scunthorpe Utd: 'I'm good enough to take us up' says two-goal Bobby Grant
GOAL hero Bobby Grant has vowed to fire Scunthorpe United back in the Championship – providing he is given the chance.
The 21-year-old striker turned in his most impressive Iron performance to date on Saturday, scoring twice to help his side come back two goals down to snatch a point at table-topping Charlton Athletic.

And he has vowed they will be the first of many, as long he now gets a regular run in the starting line-up, having largely spent the first 14 months of his Scunthorpe career stuck on the bench.
"I've been waiting a long time for that," a relieved Grant told the Telegraph after the final whistle at The Valley.
" It's been a very frustrating time for me here, sitting on the bench.
"I've always said if I get a chance I'll score the goals and today two have gone in for me.
"That chance never came in the Championship, but hopefully I can push on from here.
"People say I haven't done enough and some fans have been criticising me, but at the end of the day, if you look at how many minutes I've played since I've been here, it's not that many.
"I think today I've shown I'm good enough to take Scunthorpe back up.
"It's totally different starting matches to coming on the bench. As a substitute, it takes you a while to get used to the pace of the game.
"It was a confidence boost for me on Friday when the gaffer told me I was playing.
"All day I was saying to Mark Duffy, who I room with, 'I'm going to score, I'm going to score' because then it gets it in to my head.
"I think I've given the gaffer his rewards for giving me a chance and I hope I've made it hard for him to leave me out.
"I know I've got to start scoring goals again if I want to do well for Scunthorpe and myself."
After proving his own ability against the Addicks, Grant says the circumstances of the Iron's draw in South London does the same for his side's top six ambitions.
The 2-2 draw knocked Charlton off the top of the League One table and proved the Iron have character, even if they are still short of the bodies needed to be considered serious contenders.
"Charlton are rated as one of the best teams in the league and we more than matched them," added Grant, who was making his first start of the campaign.
"I think we were the better team, even though we went two goals down.
"When you go 2-0 down at a place like this, it takes very good character to come back and get a point.
"But we played our way back into the game and got our rewards for it."

“Well done Bobby. I will admit to being one of those who thought you were out of your depth, even in League 1. I am more than happy to eat my words but one swallow doesn't make a summer. You need to deliver on a regular basis. I really hope you can do it. Good luck to you. Don't try and force it too much.”
