Scunthorpe area cricket league seems set to return
Efforts to re-establish an evening cricket league for senior clubs in North Lincolnshire will continue with a meeting this week.
The Broughton and District Evening League (BEL) provided midweek cricket for club sides in the area over many years, until its demise. But interest has now been rekindled.

Broughton cricket ground will hopefully see the return of evening league cricket this summer.
On Wednesday, clubs will be meeting up to progress things further.
Those interested in the BEL for 2012 will hold talks at the end of the Lincolnshire County Cricket League meeting at Market Rasen CC on Wednesday (Jan 18). That gets under way at 7.30pm.
Clubs from North Lincolnshire still have time to join and there's an open invitation to attend the session on Wednesday.
